I was rather suprised at the grade on this CBHD. Take a guess at the grade PCGS put on it. I got it for under $200.

PCGS has been taking a lot of flak lately, specifically for overgrading CBH, so if this was JUST slabbed by them, after they have again begun to conform to a tougher standard, you may not have gotten more than a 53 for this. My guess.

I'm thinking XF45. Wear across high points is evident and luster is subdued. It is a nice looking example so the eye appeal could take it to AU50.

By the old standards it cannot be AU if less than 50% original mint luster is present; XF45 would be my grade - uniformly even wear with some mint luster remaining in protected areas. There are weakly struck AU coins with XF sharpness that still retain 50% or better mint luster, those should properly be graded AU in my opinion (and the ANA's.)

TPG market grade probably AU53.
