Picked this up very reasonably, what do you think it is grade-wise. Date almost looks doubled, but not seeing that as a VAM option. Does the toning on the reverse hinder the coin? Thanks!

Uncirculated for sure. The scrapes to left of bust on obverse are severe enough to drop it to a 62, which is a shame considering how nice the rest of the coin looks.
The splotchy reverse toning is usually indicative of retoning after dipping, but I don't think that is the case here. Simply spotty toning that does reduce the eye appeal, but not the technical grade.

I think it has a chance at MS 63 ... but better chance at being a 62 coin.
The reverse does hurt the eye appeal.

I think 62 and that type of reverse looks more of a corroded stage to me.

I'd say MS-63, but less appealing due to the splotchy toning.

Definitely MS. I was thinking MS-62 OR MS-61, but with gradeflation I suppose it can be bumped up a point.

I'm in the 63 camp as well.

Nice BU coin. I like the splotchy toning on the reverse.
