Might be tough because of my poor photo skills. When I try to eliminate glare/reflection they end up looking like scans. Bonus for variety (not attributed by ICCS).

I will venture in here and say EF40 SWL variety. And take no offense if I whiffed the grade. :) Is a beautiful coin.

so since it appears I missed the mark given the other grades - can someone help me understand what I am seeing : it appears to me there is wear in the hair on back/top area of head and the cheek/jawline and then below the ear to the right a little down on the neck there are 4 what appears to be nicks. It is entirely possible I am losing my mind and my eyes are deceiving me

I did get the variety though!!

Thanks for replies so far. The top photo was the best I could do to show the hair as it appears in person. My other photos, like the second one, look like scans and are a bit deceiving. Pre-1948 the hair on these lacks detail. One of you is oh so close to what ICCS said. Everybody so far is missing something.
(Edit - no offense taken, scopru!)
