Every now and then I take a gamble on bad seller photos on ebay. This was one I took this week. I think I did really well at $135 bucks. This is one of the last remaining coins I need for my 7070. Down to just 5 coins now!

Very nice!  Congrats on being on the final stretch of your 7070  I need to get back to working on mine next year. I thing I have 35 to go.

I hate those kinds of gambles myself, but you certainly scored with that Half Cent, and a good date, too. What 5 type are you still after?

I'm still after a draped large cent, a few of the dimes, one of the Seated quarters and a "with motto" Seated dollar. They certainly are getting expensive in the grades I'm going for.

Very nice coin!
Just trying to learn. The coin's obverse seems so sharply struck. Which makes me wonder why there is so little, almost no detail in the denticles like you see in the reverse. What do you think caused this to happen?

You got a fantastic coin for a fantastic price. I love it when such ebay gambles pay off. I found the seller. Not much else in the way of early type coins.
