Hey everybody just joined up. My first job was cashiering at the grocery store and I collected all the interesting change I came across. I have finally decided to go through and see exactly what I have. I have two silver eagle 1 oz. coins, one from 2005 and one from 1989. The 2005 coin has a weird collar. One part seems a bit squished and another part seems a bit large with the reeds sticking out. I am including some pictures. Not sure if this is an error or not, was wondering if anybody could provide some insight on if this coin is special or anything.

to CCF. It looks like a finned rim. Not much if any premium above melt value. Also, only hold coins by the edges.

Although there's no premium, getting two ASEs for face is still a win.

Looks like some slight rim finning is going on. That's where metal is pushed up between a slight gap inbeween the collar and die during the strike

Thanks everybody! I appreciate the feedback! I got a bunch of face value scores while working at the grocery store. And I will take more care when handling the coins, sorry guys!

That's quite a haul! I got only about 1/4 of that at my McJob back in college, and even then, mostly wheat cents and silver Roosevelts.

Wow. You got ASE's and a barber in change. Very cool. The rest is cool too but can be more commonplace per say in change. Although Franklin's and walkers less so.
