One of the worst listings I have seen on ebay. *** Link Removed by Staff. See Photo below ***

If they'd priced it lower somebody might have jumped on it. Besides, with all the doubling and errors known on that coin, there's a good chance there's a legit error or doubling or reflection somewhere on the coin.

To my untrained eye, that looks like a significant doubled die. What is it that you are using to judge it as a MD?

The secondary device's on the 5 & E look flat and shelf like IMHO. I could be wrong but that's what I see

Machine Doubling can't produce the notching effect you see..it looks like a pretty nice DD IMO.

MD looks just like that on incuse devices. The devices are raised on the die, and incuse on the coin. A larger percentage of these ATB Quarters show this.

Thanks for the help understanding this one. I had no idea that notches were standard MD fare on incuse lettering. Looked like a DDO to me, but I have seen the light.

On a dub doubled incuse devices they look reduced. (just the opposite as raised letters with machine damage) But I'm still waiting for a DDR on the incuse devices on the ATB Quarters.
