Found out today from a Wells Fargo branch that the corporate office has made the decision to terminate service to and remove all free coin counters in branches effective Jan 1st, 2017. They said they will ask customers to start rolling them up. Totally BUMMED!! It's as if a million coin roll hunters suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I roll all of my coins, and I've done 300,000+ this year.

In only 1 of the 4 states I routinely hunt did WF have coin counters, so I'm not too upset by this news. Sorry to those who were accustomed to easy coin deposits using coin counters...Welcome to my world!

Personally I am stunned to hear that Wells Fargo has anything that is free. The last time I breathed their air I wanted to make a donation to one of those charitable donation accounts for someone I knew. Because I didn't have an account with them they were going to charge me for the transaction. I promptly left, went to my friend and handed them the money directly.

Sorry for any negative vibes that may come across in this post. Believe me when I say that I am restraining my comments a great deal.

Judging from recent events, Wells Fargo Bank seems to have little internal integrity, much less any sense of how to deal with their rotten-to-the-core management other than to run full-page ads of galloping horses in every major newspaper.
Rest in Peace

Last week my wife and I received a $392 refund from WF from a "extra" fee they "accidentally" charged us 9 years ago when we paid our house off. I think them boys have a few shotguns pointed at them...

Free air, heh. Gas stations used to not be drink, candy, tobacco and novelty stores too. Gas and oil. Ah what the future holds...

My credit union just added a self-serve coin counter kiosk for the very first time, free for members I was really surprised to see that it accepted half dollars and small dollars.
