Dansco albums usually have a wide variety of holes to fill. In their "including proof" albums, I've noticed they only have holes for the clad "S" proofs (and sometimes 1992 and up silver proofs). Why don't they also have spots for pre 1964 proof coins? Is it just because of the price of those coins? It could get pretty pricey if you wanted to fill all of the pre 1964 proof coins (thinking about coins like the 1936-42 Washington quarters or 1950-1952 dimes). Anyone know why there aren't holes for those coins?

Just a guess, but albums generally have a hole for each year and mint mark combination for a particular coin. A proof ONLY issue might have a hole, but say a 1964 (P) Kennedy half won't have a separate hole for the proof version.

Dansco does what they want and adds holes for coins that makes sense in their universe, can anyone explain why the Lincoln Cent album has a hole for the 1922 plain? What I do to solve this problem is I buy a blank page that fits the coin in question, insert it in the back of the album (my Dansco 8125 album now has 7 pages), then I use a label maker with clear tape to add dates and notes for what varieties I want to add to that collection. It doesn't have a fully professional look to it but it works for me. Below is a picture of what I did to my 8125 album.

Oldephriam's solution is about the best that can be done.

The key here is that Dansco refers their albums with poof holes as "including proof-only issues." That is, they have extra holes for when there is only a proof issued for that date-mint combination.

Since all proofs from 1964 and earlier were minted in Philadelphia, there will only be the one hole since there were both proofs and business strikes made there. You are forced to choose which to place in that hole.

This is also why you do not see proof holes in the 8100 Lincoln cents album for 1968-S to 1975-S and the 8113 Jefferson nickels for 1968-S to 1970-S.

The oddball, though, is the 8166 Kennedy half dollars album. It not only has a separate hole for the 1964 proof, but has holes for the 1965-1967 SMS issues. Go figure.

I like that idea oldephriam! I looked at my album and if I stop at 2016-d I have space on my last page for the 1950-1964 proofs, both MOD, and the 96-w. I cracked open my first slab today and moved my anacs pf64 1950 to the album. I have a 51 and 52 but they graded too high to crack them so I'll be on the lookout for some raw coins. Thanks for the idea and for sharing a picture of your album!
