I picked this coin up as a VF20 for $20 the other day. I feel like it's much higher, maybe even AU50? What do you guys think?

your coin is a solid EF coin, my concern is the originality of the surfaces..better images will tell whether you got a fair deal or not.

Just browsing ebay, it seems that even for AU, $20 wouldn't be a great deal as far as resale. If it were graded MS, then yes. Also, better pics would probably help and out of the flip if possible.

It's tough to tell if this coin has been cleaned, or not, although I suspect that it has. Better photos with the coin out of the 2x2 would give us a better chance of answering your question.
The circulation grade appears much better than a 20, but if the coin has been cleaned, $20 is no great bargain.

Definitely nicer than a VF coin..so a great deal at $20..
If that was at a table at one of the big coin shows, the seller would be asking a lot more than $20..no matter what the colour or doubts.. IMO

What's the great deal here?
EF40 (which is the maximum this coin would grade) trends for $55 Canadian.
True, a dealer would be asking $40 for it, but at that price it would be collecting dust.
I think a price that would be attractive to a collector at a show would be approx. $30. (max.)

Beautiful coin, Sokrateez. If you're happy with the coin and the price you paid, I would say you got a deal. Oh and

True, a dealer would be asking $40 for it, Ha..Ha..Let's agree to disagree on this one then...because some dealers that I know would be asking more..so for me $20 is a great deal on this coin....
