Hello all. I have been using this forum as a great reference guide for about a year. I hardly ever post to Facebook, so I'm usually happier being a "peeping Tom" rather than a poster. I live in Sunny S.W. Florida (where it is currently a lovely 87 degrees). Just a little tease for the snow bound members.

I've collected modern coins & currency since I was 6. Of course at that age I started off on a penny collection. I still collect all the normal coinage....some silver, some uncirculated. I recently got my husband interested in it, as well. I'm having him start off with the pennies and nickels until he learns the basics about collecting. But, we both got really enthralled with Indian Head pennies when I found an 1889 Indian Head penny in the parking lot at my apartment! I'm learning a lot about Indian Head pennies, but I'm actually becoming more interested in error coins.

Recently, I went through all the multiple completed coin collections I had. Turns out I have two 1988 double ear Lincoln Pennies! Granted, they're probably only fair condition. Good thing I just kept collecting pocket change. Finding the double ears got me hooked on errors! But I have a lot to learn on those! But, like I said... This formum is usually a pretty good reference site.

Thanks, and I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Welcome Jen! That's great that you got your husband involved. My wife and I both collect. I think it's more fun that we can share our excitement over each others new finds. Although, it helps that we collect different things...no competition that way!
Rest in Peace

I have been keeping old and odd coins since I was a little girl. My husband got interested a few years ago and it really is a lot better when you live with someone who understands it when you have coins spread out all over the dining room table.

Glad to have you aboard!
