No way that ICCS grades as AU 50 in an X## holder . They have tightened up in the last bit in my opinion.

Indeed , it has always been the case with the Grading game. The most shining examples are the US TPG , PCGS , NGC, .
Market grading is what they do and have done forever. Hot coin Market- loose grading . Weak coin market - Tight grading.
The scale slides all the time . Best answer learn how to Grade for ones self. Also take into account things like ,strike, toning, Eye Appeal and other intangibles when buying. Sort of the same thing as buying an old Corvette or any other Classic car. The year may be the same , the condition sort of the same and the price of one way off the charts compared to the other.
One other note as it pertains to ICCS....... we all know with some certainty that old 2 letter embossed certificates certainly are candidates for upgrades. Then so are rattler PCGS and 1st generation NGC and small ANACS holders.
