I am making the effort to present macro pictures of a 1968-D Washington quarter. I believe it to be a DDO as the neck of the bird and the wing on your right side is doubled. I was wondering if this is a DDO or not. If you can identify it or deny it, I would be most appreciative. If the pic's are too bad just let me know and I'll try again. I'm willing!

DDO = doubled die obverse (head, front)
DDR = doubled die reverse (tails, back)

I'm not seeing anything odd from those photos.

I agree that we can't see much from those pictures. They need to be lighter, closer, and not through a flip/sleeve/anything.

Those photos are a tad too small to see anything.

to the forum!

I see the doubling on the neck and wing, but the images aren't clear enough to tell what it is. Try to get some better photos and post some of the other parts of the coin as well.

Here is a link to a known 1968-D DDR Washington quarter: http://goccf.com/t/253804

I think the doubling you see might be from picture blur.

Thank you for your comments. I've experimented with the optimizer and am providing the results of that. However, I won't know what it looks like until I upload them and post it appears. I believe this is 1968-D is known on the PCGS Coin Facts as a 1968-D DDR FS-801. However, they provide no picture of this variety and there are only two know listed on Coin Facts. I am considering sending it in for grading. Your opinions will play a lot in whether I do submit or not!! I would also appreciate any grading opinions as well. Thanks again. If the pic's are still too small I'll give it another try. Steve

Looks like it is affected by Machine Damage on the reverse.

What does that mean?

After close consideration, I have to agree with MD.
