I know this belongs on the crh forum but I'm posting here because is unusual to find a 1934 Canada 5 cents in circulation I found it today in a coinstar reject tray in California Last time I found one of these was in Ontario in the mid 60s as a child in change

The coinstar hunters will go nuts about this find. It should be moved to the CRH forum.

Those early-style nickels are sweet! I wish I could find one of those!

the only time I found old George V nickels was 1932 in my moms change purse when she let me look for old coins, so far the only time I check a coin star last month I found a 1995 5 leke from albania

Back in the seventies, I got a 1920s nickel in the change from the local bakery. The cashier (older woman)was smiling because she got rid of a bad nickel. Either that, or she must have been smiling at my reaction.
