Hi there.
I am trying to make some sense of coins that have been passed to me in a big box that my dad found in his attic. Always taken an interest in coins but this project is a bit beyond my capabilities so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Anna
Rest in Peace

Hi Anna, to CCF. If you can take some pictures of any coin/s you would like to know about, then post the pictures in a separate thread for each coin in this forum.

Plenty people here will be happy to help out.

to CCF!

Make haste slowly, ask questions before you do ANYTHING (especially cleaning).
And have fun.

Is it from your Dad's family or a new house and thus unknown history?

Anna

It's definitely not beyond your capabilities. As long as you take it slow, coin by coin, do appropriate research and learn about conservation techniques (which can all be found on this site), they can be sorted rather quickly. If any are favorites, because of looks or whatever, start with those. There's no rush.

Good on you!
