Well, for the 1909S VDB there is no doubt as to the authenticity or the grade. Plus returns are probably accepted.

That's not too far from fair value if the coin is on a nickel, with ebay always a return is title is incorrect.

Its a 1987 cent on 10 cent planchet almost for sure. For a collector of cents on wrong planchets, a very tough coin to find..........

The coin is completely filled out, would not expect that with a dime planchet. I vote for zinc plated.

The rims are not filled out the way they should be I don't think. There does not appear to be sufficient metal to fill the dies, which to me suggests a dime planchet. A Barbados 10 cent or a Panama 1/10 balboa are possible foreign planchet candidates. This is what a full 1987 should look like. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-1987-...401250831185

This seller was very sloppy in their description of this error in saying nickel which would be rarer but most likely a dime as mentioned, looks good for the price anyway

One of those cases where the weight would narrow down our suppositions pretty quickly.

I was surprised that no body asked the 2 best questions;
the weight, and is this magnetic.

Looks legit to me... if I had not been stuck offline in the Caribbean on a cruise ship, I would have bid that (and more). I have one just like it, from 1988: http://www.PCGS.com/cert/31408358

2.1g, magnetic. Textbook cent-on-10-cents. Grade better than expected....a few scratches on obverse, but the reverse is pretty nice. Fills a very tough date hole.
