Here is a Franc minted in Navarre-Bearn in France that is dated 1582 AD. The attribution is Duplessy 1394 and Roberts 6991.

That Groszy is super-clean @tdziemia--very nice. Here is a much more worn Kreuzer from the Austrian Duchy of Styria that is dated 1581 AD.

Thanks! Looks like Central/Eastern Europe rocks for 1581. Very shortly we'll see what 1580 holds (almost certainly a Hungarian denar, I bet!)

I have two coins from 1581. The other is just a Hungarian denár, but I will still post it.

Interesting that the coins of Bohemia, Hungary and Strasbourg from the last two days bear the name of the reigning Holy Roman Emperor (Rudolph II), but not the one from Styria (even though archduke Charles was a Hapsburg!).

I'm happy to bring us a little further north (into Scandinavia) with this 1/2 Öre from Sweden minted in (15)80 AD. I have it attributed as Ahl 89.

Here is a 16 Sols from Maastrict (Belgium) dated 1579 AD. I have it attributed as VGN 154. When this coin was made, I believe that the city was under siege by Alex Farnese, the Duke of Parma.
