Griffin's book were essentially variety guides based almost solely on date spacings. That's how he listed each description first.... with the spacings Then he would add font or design sizes/heights and whether there were repunches in the digits. If there was anything else on the coin, he would seldom mention it, be it D/C's, repunched letters, weak or missing letters or serifs, etc. Griffin and Zoell were trailblazers, but photography equipment and larger groups of people with social-media contact were not around then. Once websites, like the old CCRS site 10-15 years ago, and small groups of folks got together and combined coin populations with good photography, better guides became available. Once 4-5 of us wrote the Vicky variety guide for the 65th Charlton, then people really started looking for Cent varieties, because there were values assigned. BTW, gidgit, I had 10 of the PEI cents and one may be repunched, but it is VG-8/10 and hard to tell.

Yes gidgit the coin I purchased did look the Reverse on your coin. The two GR-901c + k that I mentioned might not be the same Reverse as your coin but that is the only two I could find with that V and A in Victoria most have recut V's and A's and like Okie has mentioned Griffin didn't mention a whole lot on the Reverse I don't have any Zoel books to refer to.
Like Okie has mentioned Zoel and Griffin were the pioneers for variety collecting and did there best to get the knowledge out to the collectors with there books. also mentioned the CCRs site was a great site to belong at one time Canadian Copper Coins another great site but like most things in life they became dust in the wind. Now we have Bosox with his excellent books with tons of pictures and knowledge on large cent, JHax and his group with his great 1859 site, and this site with Okie, Hounddog Bill, Colonial Tokens and several others just to mention a few who carry on the info from the past and add very valuable additional information and pictures to variety and Canadian coin collecting in general.
Thank you to all its very much appreciated

Attention gidjit the coin I purchased has arrived pictures to follow. Looking at the coin in hand it looks to be the same Obverse as yours other than the last A in Victoria on my coin doesn't have as strong a cross bar as yours shows the Reverse looks to be the same Reverse as yours. Open for discussion what does everyone think
