Pateldog you have a good for coins and I'am sure one will cross your path soon.
I was very lucky with mine I bought it years ago on a coin hunt through the New England states.
This was long before I knew anything about a full vine. I bought it because it was an 1858 only and the price $8.00 US.
I try to go on these coin hunts every year or so There are some coin shops in the US that are just glad to get rid of Canadian coins.
The cost was a lot less then what CV had to pay.

Cheers, Bill

Here is another with the same d/c's showing..too bad about the nasty scratches..and a lot more than $ 8.00...

Note that the d/c at leaf # 10 does not show yet on my cent..

It's the Turner OA2/RA3..at ~ 2%

Now that's a real beauty.. ..so much luster...and I'm sure that this cent has a true PCGS RD grade..

..but it looks quite different from the HA FVFS..from 2008.
The stain on the face was actually a mark on the plastic holder I'm guessing....and the clash is hard to see with these photos..

If only these pics were much bigger, it would show so much better..

and I would imagine there can't be more than 4-5 in total.

That would make my AU58 a Top 3 ever graded coin

I'm sure that there must be a couple of other top 2's out there..

Can anyone post their best OF1/RA2..if possible..?

..and/or their best RA4 with the broken stem at 9..?

Rob says that these 2 FV varieties are tougher to find in a higher grade.

Let's bring them all out if possible...

It is a very tough coin to photograph. I don't have a decent image of the clash marks in GRATIA, but they are there. The marks on the cheek in the old Heritage photo were on the holder.

I have six or seven others of OA2/RA3 ranging from VG to AU55.

I have one OA1/RA1; SP64. Two OE1/RA1; AU55 and VG. Two OF1/RA2; EF and VG. Two OA1/RA4; EF and VG. All in all, a pretty scarce bunch of coins.

The copper nickel specimen OA1/RA1 is a very cool coin. It was probably one of the first provincial cents struck and shows exactly what Wyon intended before the deterioration set in and made the varieties we all love.

The photos of most of these are in the books and I prefer not to put them in the public domain to be "pinned" without asking.

Thanks for the added info on your vast collection Rob.

Here is another that you did see last year..

It's a bit dirty on the rev ..and stuck in an ICCS cert for the moment..The rev lines across are shadows from the cert..and not marks..

How would any of you grade this FVFS compared to the OP's cent..?..It's another OA2/RA3

..and what would NGC grade this cent..because I'm looking at the hair and eyelid on my cent..and also doing a quick comparison to the OP's..

CV,

We value your input on any of these additions..Please..
