The U.S. Mint released a press release today, President Obama Receives Bronze Medals Emblemizing Each Term in Office

I found it interesting that the Mint neither displayed photographs of the medals nor provided a link to their sales page in the press release.

I chalk it up to the Mint's second-rate sales and marketing skills, among their other problems.

I have a collection of the 1.5 inch medals, so I will be ordering some to complete the collection.

Pass. I'd rather buy the new liberty gold piece.

First I learn of these medals. Might pick up couple.

For those that have them how's the width? Comprable to a silver eagle? Do they come encapsulated?

I have been eyeballing the 1-5/16 inch medals to complement my C&C sets. I think they are inexpensive enough for me to pursue a full set, so I will add these to my order when I finally get around to doing it.

Never thought I would be a medals guy. Thanks, commems.

It does. I wonder if that was intentional. It seems to be a fact that being president will age you.
