What does the edge look like on the capped bust? It doesn't looks right; it should not have the wire rim that is present.

I love that bust, but it appears that you have two, two different dates a 24 & 29?

The to ing on the 1824 is very different than the 1829, also the '24 is in better condition

It appears I caused some confusion with posting a picture of an 1824. I do not own an 1824. I merely posted a picture of one compared to my coin to better understand what Typecoin's concern to the edge of my 1829 is.
I have deleted the image to avoid any further confusion. I apologize.
These coins were left to me by a family member that passed away. This person left me several coins but these two were the most interesting to me because I did not possess any Barber or Capped bust specimens.

This is a hard coin to photograph. This was the best I could do and I was uncomfortable taking it out of the case and holding it. What is this wire rim issue Typecoin refers to? The coin looks legit to me but I'm far from an expert. It's silver, that's for sure. :) Anyone have any concerns with this coin being legit?

I believe hes speaking of the rim/edge, I looked up a TPG certified one on ebay and this is what its rim looks like:

Ia.so the edge is supposed to have 'FIFTY CENTS OR A HALF DOLLAR' stamped in it

I wish my eyes were twenty years younger. I can see the beveled edge (for lack of a better term ).
I had to use a loop and look hard but I can clearly see an R on the edge of the coin. I think I can see an L as well but cannot confirm. There is no way my phone camera could capture that faint of detail. The edge of this coin is very worn but that R stood out pretty good. :)
