Sorry nobody sees my other error toonie like I do. Here are the other notable things in my tonic collection, I have seen all the pages on the net, and I know my Glob and Grind is special. Just because no one has seen one, doesn't make mine unreal, nobody has accounted for the extra glob of brass that caused the misshapen coin to be lodged in the machine and ground down till it finally made it out.
Excellent off centered core on that 1996 $2..That error can be observed on a fair number of these and is the most common year for such an error it seems..Still a nice example. I can't comment on the test token as they are something I do not know anything about. I would suggest, and I mean this in a friendly way, that you don't mention the other previously posted toonie in this thread and cause more debates about it as it'd be a shame if this thread got locked as well.
That's a nice off center core, especially because of the space separated. The test token is nice to, interesting to have them both as a pair, because they're both from 1996. Nice coins!
to CCF. There are a good number of error collectors on this site, and sometimes even the US collectors visit the Canadian forums to see some cool errors.
1996 is the most common year to find off-centre coins, followed by 1999. Their value is mostly based on eye-appeal and "wow-factor".

Here is an ebay listing for the test token (not Mine)in this thread. This is the most expensive one I could find, They can also easily be had for about $20 Mintage 20,000
Charlton has a section on the test tokens, interesting that they were also included in the 2004 "Poppy" test token set and the 2006 "Breast Cancer" test token set. Guess they laid around the mint for 10 years?
Quote: and shortly after this my other one got ground down
BY AN ANGLE GRINDER.
sigh...
Bob, if you are going to stick around here (you're more than welcome to - the more the merrier) you're going to need to learn that starting a new topic - then continuing to bring up a subject thread that was locked (for good reason), is kind of frowned upon. No good is going to come from continuing the charade.
For my own sanity this is the last time (for what it's worth) that I will participate in any of your threads.
