I think you did a good job picking a husband.  It looks AU to me but can't say definitively because too much light is reflecting from the surfaces in the pics. It seems to have a very strong hammer strike which makes everything on the coin very sharp. Congrats.

Pictures are better. I am seeing some hairlines on the neck, behind the head, to the left of the date and other parts of the fields. May be cleaned, but again hard to tell from these pics.

AU50 to 55'ish and probably cleaned at one time or another. The hits on the nose kinda stink, too.
