not an expert but that looks proof so full steps are expected and I would not get it graded

to the CCF!

Full steps business strikes from 1964 are not common and would be worth grading, in my opinion. It's not easy to tell from your pics whether your coin is a business strike or proof, but it looks like a proof. Is everything bright and shiny? Proof.

I've seen 1964 proofs in slabs, so people do submit them. If you're sure it's a business strike, though, you'd get a better price for it certified FS.

I can post more pictures if needed, but it is bright and shiny. I found it in a roll the other day, is there any chance it is a business strike? Idk I've never seen one this nice!? Thanks for the info guys

Yes, better photos would allow us to give you a more precise answer.

Cut out all of the background and leave only the coin in the photo. It also helps if you can show the coin upright, rather than rotated.

It looks like an impaired proof to me by the imperfect edges on your Nickel . Fields look proof .

I think Tony might be right here. But it's difficult to see if it is FS. Better pictures of the coin and the steps are needed I think.

I am not sure if it is a proof, but it is one good looking 1964 nickel.

The rims do not look sharp enough and the surface not mirrored enough. However, those deficiencies may be the result of banging around in circulation for a while, which is why I am not sure.

That is without a doubt an impaired proof nickel, not a business strike.

And it is impaired. It is worth 50 cents, at most.

Where, oh where has that proof nickel been to get nicked up like that? At one time it was in a proof set. Did it get stolen and spent? Did a child take it and spend it? Did a collector just say phooey and spend it? Then you got it!
