I can purchase this for $500. Thoughts on grade and originality? Thanks!

The dark spots on the reverse rim at 6-7 o'clock are shadows from stickers on the slab and not toning.

RedBook looks like $600 for a 30/35, so priced at book...wiggle room?

Also has it been cleaned..maybe a while ago?...am suspicious of around/above date and stars to rim

The reverse looks XF 45 and the obverse looks VF 35. The mark/line on the shield is a little distracting.

Agree. Hate unattractive faces on coins. Seems to be like this on a lot of pre-civil war coinage.

VF-25 obverse XF-40 reverse Net VF-30. Looks like there is some wire rim remaining on the reverse edge telling me it wasn't circulated very long. Obverse perhaps suffers from a weaker strike making the head and "LIBERTY" not bold. Looks decent but some of the areas look to have been very lightly cleaned such as under the eagle's wings and the right obverse field does not match the left. But it may be the lighting. I do like this coin better than most I've seen.
