Things I already know:

This is not a Modern US coin so on that merit the admins may move this post. But the origins of coin has little to do with the question.

As far as I can tell this is not a key date or of any value above sentimentality.

**I know to never clean a coin**

So, how do I clean this coin? Lol. I think its White Out (liquid paper). Any patina loss is acceptable though as little as possible is of course preferred. I appreciate your help! Thanks!

Possibly acetone (pure, not nail polish remover)

If memory serves (WATCH OUT!), white out is water soluble, like, forever.

Try acetone, 100% pure ONLY, or isopropyl alcohol.

I'm curious to see if the areas underneath come out noticeably better than the exposed surfaces.

Also, yes, pure acetone. Find it in the paint section if you don't already have some.

Please do post your results!

I would not worry about causing damage. That is a 10 cent coin.

Acetone, pure. It has greater solvency power than isopropyl alcohol (IPA). No problem.
