I just picked up a little Type 2 No Drapery Half Dime and wanted to see what the CCF Members had to say about her in comparison to PCGS. Thank you for your interest and comments! Edited by oih82w8 01/26/2017 10:05 am

Is that rim damage @ 3 o'clock on the reverse?

I am guessing that PCGS said it is an 1838.

AU 58 - The leaves on the reverse are showing slight wear or circulation rub and the E in dime took a hit and the rim ding.

I'll say 63, shot 64. A beauty!

My guess would be MS-64. The surfaces look very nice on the obverse and not quite as good on the reverse due to some microscopic roughness in the " Half Dime" area. This piece was probably dipped and was one of the "lucky coins" that got got some attractive toning on "its way back."

I'm at MS64 unless the reverse rim issue hurt a bit. A very attractive little coin.
