I was wondering if these $2 bills are worth keeping, the first bill has a starred serial number, and the second one has a off center cut

The second one is a spender. The star note might be a keeper if you put it in a heavy book for awhile to flatten it out. John1

Your 1976 $2 Dallas star note might be worth $5-$10 on a good day, and the 1976 Chicago note is worth face value. This is the value to novice collectors....to a currency dealer they are both worth face value.
But look, it's only four bucks, so if you like them, keep them.

Not sure what everyone else does, but I keep all star bills. That said, I don't have very many yet. While the off-center one might not worth a premium, it's still cool and I would probably keep it.

Quote: Not sure what everyone else does, but I keep all star bills I do the same thing... Probably not going to see any premiums out of any, so at best, it is just an emergency fund in a worst case scenario if I ever need it...
