Considering buying this. It is in a PCGS holder. Thoughts on grade and issues? Thanks.

It is in a straight holder. Also thoughts on color designation (RD/RB/BN) appreciated if you would like to venture. Thanks.

By the way, I am terrible at grading IHCs and Buffaloes. Some of you might say I am terrible at grading everything else too, but I am lost on these.

It is also offered by a very well-known and reputable dealer.

I'd ask Rick Snow's opinion on the coin.

Indians really did tone this way, though.

Beautiful coin but I'm questioning the photos. Is this a David Lawrence coin?

No. It is a specialist in small coppers and sold the most expensive Lincoln Cent ever sold. Shouldn't be too tough to figure out who it is based on that.

Anyhow, this coin is easy to find online and is being offered for $1K. I only see two sales of this coin on Heritage. One in 2012 for $1.5K and one in 1996 for $200.

I only buy my high end IHC's from Rick these days. I don't trust any other sellers anymore when it comes to IHC's to either grade them correctly or to be honest about their surfaces and color.

It is a BN proof coin but the photographic conditions that enhance the color also make it almost impossible to offer an accurate grade. The color hues are what you would expect for a nicely toned proof IHC

I don't see any flaws, so I'd say easy PF66 BN, possibly even 67?
