I recently posted a P01 1872 Indian Head penny. You guys said it was worth $5-$10, however on the PCGS website, a certified 1872 P01 Indian head goes for $75.

Duo question: how much does it cost to send in a US coin from the US? (I saw it once and it said $20 but could never find it again)

So, shall I submit it?

I vote no. You will be putting too much into it, and may find it harder to sell for $75 than you think.
A rule I have heard others use is $200 or less not to submit, though I disagree with that number it should give you a starting point.
Good luck whatever you decide.

If you sent a single coin to PCGS, it would cost about $60 to get it graded as there are shipping fees, grading fees, and handling fee. The cost per coin will go down with a multi coin submission to about $35 dollars per coin. The above is based on coins under $300 each. If the coin is over $300 or gold the cost will go up.

I concur with the above statement...my last single coin submission was around $60 and that was the cheap route. If you have "Free" vouchers, it'll still cost you $30 or so.

Don't get it graded, not worth it.

It's listed as $75 on the PCGS site for those after lowball registry sets. I agree with the others that it will not be worthwhile to submit if you're planning on selling it. It might be worthwhile if you're starting a lowball set, but even then, I would check to see if you could purchase an example for less than the submission cost before you send it in.

PO-01 grades are also quite hard to get, and the value of an FR-02 is a lot lower. I'd agree with the consensus here, and not have it graded - It's just not worth it.
