I was comparing to 4 others of the same year and the veins aren't visible.

My reaction was, "Well, you're not looking at the tail so..."
Here's a great reference site for small dollars: http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page20c.html

Glad you looked it up jc. For anyone that doesn't know what we're talking about it is easy to lookup and its only the tail feathers that are different and only the philly mint. Ill try post pics if I get a chance of the 2 different types... ok druu beat me to it thanks!

Thanks, guys. I read a few articles that just mentioned veins in feathers, not specifically the tail. Comparing it to the other four I have, I thought it was surely it due to the veins not showing on the others. I've never really researched them, but the vending machine at work today was giving Susan B. Anthony's, Sacagawea's, and Presidential dollars for change so I stocked up and plan to get more tomorrow haha. Thanks again for the link, I've got it saved now.

Don't worry, wife and I were looking at two different pictures of Native American position A and position B for about 10 minutes, trying to figure out what the difference was. Found out it refers to the STUPID LETTERING ON THE SIDE!
