Hello Everyone ... New to the site.
I was hoping to get some recommendations and advice. I'm looking for an expert to grade my coin collection. In my neck of the woods I've been told Kenny Duncan ( US coins - Houston ) & Lee Muchell ( Louisanna ) are the best. I am willing to pay for a detailed grading & appraisal.... In reading some of the posts the moderator "echizento"
seems to be very knowledgeable & experienced.
Thanks for any help / suggestions

The best coin graders are PCGS, NGC, ANACS, and the consensus of the Coin Community Forum.

PCGS and NGC seem to be popular. For my odd needs ANACS does very well.

Thanks for the replies .... I need to clarify ...
All of the coins (100+)are already in PCGS & NGC
Holders. (MS). Collected over 20 years. To my untrained
eye , I think I have couple of 58's in 60 holders and a 62 that
looks like a solid 63 & a few more possible upgrades. I would like a keen eye 2nd opinion with the coins graded in 10ths. ... A 62.9 grade could warrant resubmission for possible upgrade ... A 58.8 grade of a coin in a 60 holder would mean it should never leave its current holder. I currently
have them ranked & am looking for a 2nd opinion & why.

How about submitting your coins to CAC (Certified Acceptance Corporation)? Their website su leaves a lot to be desired, but they seem to enjoy a good reputation.

If your collection is over 5K, you could contact Mark Feld at Heritage Auctions as he had worked for NGC as a grader. Heritage is based in Dallas. Heritage will give you an appraisal if you are considering selling.

Unless there is a huge jump in value from a 62 to a 63, etc, it might not be worth resubmitting. You could probably get a good idea on the exact grades by posting some of the photos here in the grading forum, and don't reveal the grades for a day or so. Taking them to any one person is still just one opinion.
