Hello all. My name is Gene. I finally decided to formally join this site after a few years of lurking.
I live in CT and only collect Canadian coins, now. Been collecting for 40 years. I am trying to put together a complete date/mint set of Canadian decimals certified by PCGS. Only 6 to go and they are the tough ones.
I really love Victorian large cents and am active in searching for new varieties including die pairs as catalogued by Dr. James Haxby, Mr. Rob Turner, and others. Also enjoy pre-confederation tokens as catalogued by Breton, LeRoux, Charlton, et al.
I am a life member of the RCNA, a member of CATC (Canadian Association of Token Collectors), and The Canadian Centennial Collectors Club.
I am looking forward to participating on this site and hope to share what knowledge I can.
Gene, glad to see you here finally on this site! For many years, when I primarily collected Canadian, Gene was my go to source at the shows in CT, and truly, one of my numismatic mentors... Looking forward to your posts on here, especially as many of the other Canadian experts post on here as well!
