I'm still using a GS4. Guess I better upgrade.

I was under the impression that it's better to use incandescent lights over LED to get the luster.... though these photos are REALLY good in my opinion.

How do you take the pictures? Do you need another person to Hold the two lights? Your pictures look very good. I love it When a lower budget system performs well! It reminds me of another member that uses his phone and a Flashlight to take great pics from a microscope.

I really like your pics, but what about the black background? Is that editing? Do you use an app with circle-cropping?
I assume that the LED lights are lying flat and there is no diffusion being used.
I'm really trying to create a low budget setup myself to take quality pics with my phone but, I haven't achieved those results!

Well, can you send a picture of how it actually works?

Those look great -- it just goes to show how technique and lighting are what really matter for pics like these, not a fancy DSLR, exotic lens, microscope stage, etc.

I assume that the LED lights are lying flat and there is no diffusion being used. I use a website called LunaPic and it has the option to do a circle crop. I move the LED lights above the coin and shine then towards it at about a 45 degree angle. I rotate them around the coin to get lighting that I think is acceptable.

Another great picture! Too bad I can't picture how your set up works... I think you attach the phone to the box, then snap the pic while holding The handheld lights? Really wish you could explain how you take those Great pictures.

Nice - you did a good job of picking up the toning. (If rmpsrpms happens along, he might complain about the crooked "In God we trust motto".)

Very nice WheatBack. I think along with some others here, that it is hard to visualize holding and moving the LED lights and taking the picture. How is that done with only 2 hands? Ham
