but I figured I couldn't do any worse to this coin and what would you all recommend I use to clean it with it looks to be ink or paint or something like that

Thank you all for the input on everything I post I was surfing the internet the other day and came across another coin forum and I stopped to look around and some of the people were down right mean this guy said he wasn't to familiar about coins and was eager to learn he asked simple questions like whats PMD,RPM ETC and the were like a bunch of bullies I'm glad its not like that here at the CCF

I would try acetone but, from the looks of it, I'm guessing it won't do much good.

It's so far gone, though, that you're not going to risk harming anything.
