Just picked this up with some other items at an auction. It is an OBVIOUS very Bad copy...It is being relegated to my keychain in place of the real 1879 Morgan. How many can you find even without the real to compare to?

Ammmaazzzinnng!

At least there are 13 stars on the front...

One you can't see is that it is 1mm smaller than a Morgan, don't fit in my Bezel!

Your coin is a copy of a Trade dollar Pattern #2 known as the defiant eagle.

Thank you slider, just looked up the info on copyhttp://www.pbase.com/fletcher_hill/image/107158229
A test copy of the Trade dollar. Also a previous thread with like coin, fakes from Hong Kong in 2008 for $1.

No, only Paid $3 for a lot of misc tokens, foreign coins and exonumia, so to me was well worth it. Now I have a copy of a test dollar that the dremel will be attacking soon!

Bob, hope you were snarking, clash marks on a cast coin?
