Hello,
I was wondering if there is a premium on these notes having sequential orders. There are a total of 17 consecutive numbers in mint condition.

Thanks,
Robin

I would expect some additional value, but they're already worth a pretty penny in CU condition.

Photos?

That's actually quite impressive to have 17 of these in consecutive order. Photos would be great. How did you come across these?

Welcome to CCF RB.

I agree with both Wheat and Cleltic.....why would any collector need more than one of these in their collection considering the denomination. It's not often when having consecutive serial numbers that any additional premium is assessed.

I am not a collector of currency but do you guys see any added value to this lot? Will I find a buyer out there for these notes?

Put a few of them up on ebay as individual lots and see what happens. I don't know what you have in them but you can put a $ number on each lot to protect your investment.

At least you'll know if there is interest and the more people you have them in front of the truer the value can be determined.

I feel lucky to have two consecutive 1929 Chicago tens.... I can only imagine what it would be like to have 17 consecutive "C" note Chicago 1929's!

Good luck on a SUPER find!

What a magnificent sight! Thanks for the photos.

986 looks like it has a diagonal fold on the left side?

It would take a very specific buyer to have the funds and desire to purchase $1,700 face of sequential $100s, especially since in CU condition they probably will go for several times face each. I may be wrong here but I'd just say break up the set if you intend to sell. Maybe sell as groups of 2 or 3? I hesitate to give that advice because the group is so cool together, but if you're going to sell, I guess it doesn't matter as long as you get top dollar.
Rest in Peace

to the forum! Just checked each bill valued at $275.00. There would be a premium for consecutive bills but I don't know how much that would be or if you would actually realize the $275/bill amount. These bills are collectable enough to have them certified by a service like PCGS. Would guaranty a better price in long run. wWould really hate to see run broke up...I'm

Thank you everyone for their opinions. How should I store to protect these bills? Do I leave them in the band stacked? Or should I purchase a protective sleeve for each note?

Is it worth sending them to get graded?

Thanks
Robin

Store each note individually in PVC-free currency sleeves.

As stated earlier, yes, they probably would bring more if they were professionally graded by a reputable third party grading service.

If you think you may sell in batches of say three, think of the currency pages for three ring binders, they have 3 pockets and protect as well as a single protector. But yes, get them protected, do not handle with hands, use surgical type gloves at the very least keep them clean as possible.

Thanks everybody. I think I may have to sell these 17 in one shot. I have another set of 4 consecutive and 2 consecutive ones. Does anyone know if any of the grading companies will slab these on site at a currency/coin show? I'm trying to avoid to ship them out.
Rest in Peace

At the larger shows the big boy graders are there, good idea to do so. Hope you the best with those, wish I was the buyer!
