GR58 Bedrock of the Community United States 11951 Posts	Posted 03/07/2017 3:58 pm I have been really enjoying myself, sorting through a big collection. Some coins I brought home today The penny haters might not like these ..... This first error Lincoln, I am thinking it had a large piece of lamination break off after striking. #1 You can see it still had a small part of the rim around 8:30 I am thinking if this was PSD, the reverse would show some sort of damage, but it doesn't. I understand your thinking on #7 BadThad. It is hard for me to imagine how this could have happened. I wish I had kept the 2X2, it had something this .. from same collection. GR58 Bedrock of the Community United States 11951 Posts	Posted 03/07/2017 6:02 pm Thanks biokemist6 ... #7 I got to thinking .. because of no damage to the reverse I started thinking, what ever happened to the obverse must have happened in the die during strike. I started thinking strike through .. your idea sounds more like what happened. But ... if another coin was there wouldn't that area be more flat? I can see where there is still rim on the affected area. But the shape is more coin like. I was trying to take better pictures while you were posting.
