Oops. I should have been more clear. Not trying to discuss why the coin is black, but setting up a thread to put up photos for Coop as the coin spends more time in my pocket.

tropicalbats, see where your going and appreciate the update. Seems to be wearing down or off a bit that may be indicating a type of superficial toning. Thanks, Doug.

I don' see a problem with posting the progression here ... if people don't want to follow along they don't have to. Should be fun to see what happens over time.  |

Keep carrying it and posting image of it. Eventually you will see the highest areas silver, the fields still dark. That is when to stop carrying it in your pocket. Then you are there. Thanks for doing this for me. It has some more time in the pocket.
