I was looking around and picked up these 4 coins to add just to have a basic small size type set of silver Canadian 5 cents.
Didn't pay much. I looked into Newfoundland types and they weren't too bad but when I found any New Brunswick 5 cents, I said the heck with that. This will do just fine.

So I thought I was all caught up huh?

Have to add this 2017 Silver Proof regular design 20,000 mintage that I heard there wasn't any made. Bought the last one around.
I also put in an order for 2014 and 2016 Nickel proofs I didn't have and was unsure of and was also informed there weren't any made.
Also trying to get that 1911-2011 baby nickel silver proof to add to this.

I've been informed that the 1919 pictured above is "lost" and never shipped. I'm kinda glad. It wasn't a good example. I got my refund and bought what I think is a better one dated 1920 and updated my picture for the post Posted - 03/13/2017 : 11:03 am just above.

I think I see a silver 5 cent date set in your future NickelGuy.

Just to update, I am up to date.
Here is my checklist which I consider a pretty darn complete set.

Canadian 5 Cent Collection

"Bug Tail" "bald belly" Extra Water Line (XWL) etc. that do not interest me to pay much for.
I think this is a pretty extensive and complete collection of Canadian 5 Cent coins.
I plan to grade them at some point.
Early dates to 1940 are average VF-XF or better with the 1925 graded at F12 by ICCS. AFter that, for 1950's
many are AU-Unc and most recent are high grade examples.

Wow!! Thanks for the list. I now see I still have a LONNNG way to go to finish mine up. Do they make a book that has holes for all these? Or is this kind of a buy as many pages as you need and make an album yourself deal?

I think you ought to use 2x2's and a binder with the 20 slot pages. You'll be moving them around. Trust me. I understand there are earlier prooflike strikes but they don't look much different than a nice uncirculated when you go back so far. The newer reverse cameo specimens are a whole nuther aminal.
This has been a headache and a joy. You never know what the Royal Canadian Mint will come up with next.
First glow-in-the-dark pterodactyl 5 cent piece and I'll give up chasing special coins. Bad enough I had to chase down 5 different 2017 this year.

I started out on US nickels and tried a geographical cure for my addiction. It did not work.
