I wouldn't call these conserved, more like harshly cleaned. An acetone bath may have been enough for the 1949 and 1961. But the other two are so corroded they're fair game. I wonder how long that 1998 will stay shiny.

I think removing the moss and chewing gum is a step in the right direction. And I would compliment you on having the first lesson down pat. (Don't start with the Stellas.) Thanks for sharing.

I was with you up til the rag and Brasso. In spite of the polishes, the 2 Georges and young Queen are nice for a circulation collection.

all steps taken beyond WD40 (questionable in it's own right) will ruin 99% of value to any coin subjected to this treatment.
nothing lost by doing this to these cents, but please save yourself the heartache and don't try this on anything collectable.

Thank you very much for your opinions Guys. Like I said before ...I do that for my own satisfaction ...I have time ...and I like spending my time the way I like . I do no do this for money ..I do it for pleasure . I am very happy with the results .
