Every time I open a thread to read, it immediately jumps to an ad at the bottom of the page with sound. I never noticed that before today? And, quite distracting when you are around other people.

It's been happening to me also using a laptop. I think it's the Ad at the bottom causing it.

I'm using a desk-top computer and haven't seen anything like this.

For me, in the past few days, every 5 letters I type using quick reply, it stops typing.

Thankfully, it seemed to have stopped happening in the past hour or two . . .

Yea cookie delete time, "clean the junk" time on your security program. Shouldn't have clicked on those " we got something free for you" sites! Clicked on a link posted here on forum yesterday, was hijacked to add for "you've been infected w/ 4 viruses!, click here now!"...yea, right, wanna pull the other finger? That was the similar add that I gotbyears ago when my laptop caught a cold, then couldn't get rid of it, locks you up and throws away the key. Run Forrest, run!

I think this is the one I closed? I don't know I forget. It had a loading type circle in the middle today.

No, no one hacked the site.
All you have to do is get me the landing page url for the ad if you think it's causing problems and I can block it. There shouldn't be any popups or sound by default but it's not unheard of for one to slip through.
