There is a little extra to the immediate SE of the MM.
I thought at first it was split plating, but there is no other plating split anywhere else on the coin.
When I review this section from different angles it sticks out, almost like it is a small die chip off the MM.
Thoughts?

Certainly does look like a chip off the mint mark. I wonder how stable these mintmarks are... anybody seen this on another year or denomination?

It is a split on the plating. It is a small one, but it is still a split on that area. It is raising because of the split on that one area. The date looks like machine damage on west sides of the date devices, Die Deterioration on the east sides of the date devices. Just a spender.
