ebay. This variety has a lot going on!

a. 1/1 S, b. 8/8S, c. a
strong 9/9 N, d.-f. are the tops of at least 3 digits in the denticles.

What I find most interesting is the last digit. Unlike the slight S impressions of the 1 and 8--two 9s are
strongly overlapped, resulting in a smaller top loop. Why this was done
might be explained by the broken top seen on the northernmost 9. I suspect the first date impression used a broken 9 punch, which was subsequently fixed by impressing in an intact 9.
