Here is another one from my dad. Besides a couple of dings on the eye, by the ear and on the O on the reverse this is one of the overall prettiest non-red Indians I have seen. What do you guys think grade-wise?

Beautiful coin! I'd grade it a MS63RD. Just be sure to put that in an air tight case or at least back in a 2x2 or else it won't stay red much longer.

To CCF . Todd I hate to be the bearer of bad news ,but I believe this IHC has been dipped or otherwise cleaned . and to make matters worse I'm pretty sure it has seen a little circulation . Or it could be a really weak obverse strike . Wait for the IHC experts to come in on this .

I actually think this and the 1906 were dipped in something removing original patina.
Photo's can be very deceiving so I could be wrong. This coin shows wear on the curl on the 3rd picture.

Shows the slightest hints of rub on the high points. The color could be deceiving as the color that you show points to a dipped coin. It's certainly nicer than the typical common circulated grade, but I'd give this an AU, details, improper cleaning.

Ok interesting. Thanks for the feedback. I'm still honing my eye for these. There's about 12 that are in a Dansco album that I'm transferring into 2x2's for now. The good thing is that these didn't cost me anything so that takes some of the sting out of it. I'll post some more soon that look more unaltered.

Hold on Todd, maybe that little Indian is special after all. Somebody with good eyes zoom in on that date. Look at the top of the 7 and also at the 9, look like there's something going on. Maybe RPD (repunched date)? I'm not good at finding that variety and we probably need a close up of the date. But, I do have a slabbed IHC RPD and it looks kind of like that.

AU58 light dip. it could be market acceptable but cant tell with these pics as the lighting and focus is not good enough

AU-58. Surfaces just don't look natural to me in any of the pics.
