In addition to what Bobby said, a big part of becoming a good numismatist (as many here, including me are striving to do), is expanding skills in every area that helps one develop. This includes how to upload images to this very helpful site. It's time well-spent to learn how to edit photos. Without appropriate photos, you won't get an appropriate opinion.

I can't think of a single thing to say without being a snark monster.

That didn't hold anyone else back mox.
I will admit I have refrained from posting a couple questionable coins (coins I have questions on) due to the swift dismissals of most every coin I've posted before.
I don't mind the process of getting photos to post, I think that is rather easy.

The fact that I have to manually manipulate each and every image upon uploading to the resizer/optimizer, then download back to my computer to upload here. Seriously, whoever coded that nightmare needs some assistance. Nothing but a thing to upload and resize on your end. 1000 posts a day? Spread out too thin and appears cemetery still to me while lighting up my entire room when viewing from my 60" display.
So yeah, you guys figured me out. I asked a simple question I really didn't want answered and predicated on my truly having nothing as a basis for the question.
The optimizer cuts them down to 300Kb or less.
Do note there is no easily found how to for your photos and I searched.
To upload anything 1meg in size, it doesn't offer me anything of the sort on this end.
However, I do not allow all 11 of the scripts the forum wants to run, opting only to allow 7 to run.
Perhaps that's the problem. If so, I'm cool with it remaining a problem.
So, yall have a good evening.
Thanks just the same.

With thousands of members posting pictures on this site, for someone to complain sounds ridiculous.
The site image optimize is not the only way to post pictures. You can use you own photo editor. I use Picasa 3, a free download app.
Between the local coin shops and and sites like this, I could not count the times someone thinks they have something, and in most cases it is nothing or something minor.
Posting a picture on a site like this is a good opportunity to have many experts give opinions.
Complaining about how a site works, when it works just fine for everyone else .... is rude.

Perhaps this is obvious already, but just in case it isn't: instead of using the site's image optimizer, I just open my coin photos and use the "Snip" function found on Microsoft computers. The snipping function reduces the picture size.

Not that it matters, but I would imagine that all MAJOR die varieties on 13-year old Wisconsin quarters have long been ID'd, catalogued and numbered.
Any new varieties are a long shot......not impossible, but a long shot!

but, but, this is a new AND RARE variety. That would explain why it hasn't been found before this guy just did.

I think the conversation ended before it begins, Neminem Laedere show no effort of describing what type of variety beside complaining.

If it is "New and Rare" like title says it could be worth something, but obviously you don't think so otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about how difficult and you think it is to upload pictures.
I know, spend it and hopefully someone who is willing to take the time and effort to do the proper research will get it in change.
Sorry guys he kinda got my dander up.

Salve! Responsum dicam in really bad lingua Latina. "De nummis, ignoramus." Non nos hic adversetur. Res statum Wisconsinensum nihil scire. Tamen credite mihi possus tibi, in experientia scientiaque mihi de ille viginti quinque centorum propter illud profundiis sicut tuae. Et haec res generibus -- inventam novam variantia -- quae pro multis annis non fuerint videt.
For this reason alone I find that although there are many possible explanations for your "discovery", in the absence of photos, I can offer no opinion nor share my wisdom.
Pax vobiscum.
