They look a lot better outside of the slabs, anyway. I just wondered because some of my better coins have been cracked out of certified traps. I'd never seen the utility of having slabbed, graded coins. Maybe for my kids or grandkids. Then a few years back I decided I wanted to have proofs of all my Lincoln cents and found I could get (recent) PR69 coins for not a lot of money. I guess they are the "chaff" that shakes out from dealers submitting in bulk to get the 70 prizes. One thing lead to another and pretty soon I was down to needing just the 1936-50s and raw coins were much easier to find. So now I just gotta get the last few certified...  Thanks, guys!
