What are you seeing? That George V coin is silver and was minted until 1936

A pic of the coin edge would help for an opinion.

The quarter just looks dirty, or maybe was a metal detector find with environmental toning.

If that's a quarter with two heads then it's a fake error or a Magician's coin. Washington quarters had dates on the obverse through 1998. I believe the Canadian quarter is older. Look for a seam around the rim or on the edge.

I see a picture of a Canadian quarter pulled from somewhere & a picture of your quarter. It's a little to soon for April fools

What does it weigh? If the Washington quarter was struck on the wrong planchet the weight will be off. Also, as Dennman posted, a pic of the rim would be very helpful.

What leads you to believe it's a Canadian stock?

Okay, I now see what you're seeing.
I believe it is just a well placed hit or tiny die gouge.
The Canadian quarter was struck on a silver planchet and your coin is nickel over copper - as can be seen from the edge (thanks for that pic).
Hope that helps.
