Hello Everybody! Let me start out by saying that I am happy I found a forum of knowledgeable collectors, as I have been collecting coins and silver for 18 of my 25 years. In the beginning of my hobby, it started when my grandfather gave me some US Mint coin slabs with various proofs, mostly all silver. I was memorized by the shine, and the weight, along with the idea that a piece of metal could hold value to people. By the time I was 15, I spent most of my allowance coin roll hunting for silver quarters, dimes, dollars and half dollars, but unfortunately I was in it more for the promise of making money than collecting. Now that I am in my mid 20's, and coin roll hunting has become so popular that its almost not worth trying, I started to value what findings I did have left from my hunts. My newest obsession is identifying the counterfeits that are being pumped out by the millions from overseas, as I have been almost tricked 10 times by some of the Morgan and Peace dollars I inquired about on craigslist and selling-apps. So please feel free to message me if you believe I can help you in identifying counterfeits, as I am confident when I say I seem to have quite an eye for spotting the small discrepancies and false-circulated wear the producer's attempt to cover up. I love discussing techniques in identifying replica coins, Especially if its nearly a perfect, as I have found some extremely convincing and unbelievable copies. I will try to be as helpful as I can and contribute when I feel as if I can be of assistance. Happy To Be Here. And Thank you staff and veteran members, as I have already learned quite a few things from the existing posts. Edited by pflexx 03/24/2017 8:06 pm

to the Family! There's a huge market for counterfeits, especially silver and gold and it's discussed/reported here daily. It should keep you busy.

1) Visit the Counterfeit forums here. We'd love to see what you can find and post there. Check out the posting rules at the top of the forums, and review some posts to get a feel for what goes on there. 2) Never buy coins from Craigslist or the like unless you really know what you are doing and don't mind wasting a lot of time dealing with rip-off artists.
