I see what you are talking about on the reverse. Can you get a clearer image of the reverse? Maybe back away from the coin some, the image will be a little smaller, but it might be in better focus.

As far as it being silver, the weight of the coin would go a long way.
What is the weight? Silver should be heavier than a clad quarter and weigh around 6.3g.

See that's the thing it is 5.8 but has everything the silver proof coins have besides the weight I'm going to go get it looked at today by a coin dealer and see what he has to say if it's silver and is minted by Denver and only weighs 5.8 grams then I will possibly have the only coin like this one.... the edge is silver and the coin front and back clearly appears to be silver but I will know for sure tomorrow

Plated coin. The mint mark looks like a P to me, but even if it's a D, it's not the right one for a proof.

Mint tolerance will allow a clad quarter to weigh as much as 5.9 grams. There is no way a silver quarter would weigh that low. I think you have a plated slightly overweight clad quarter.

@ 7111421Jay- Have you ever taken this coin to get evaluated? I found one identical to yours a few months ago and just started looking into why the outer rim is the same color as the rest of the coin ..curious if you're even still around .. it's been awhile.
