We have here a 1971-D
Kennedy half dollar with what appears to be a raised/smashed part of the field and rim (Obverse). On the Reverse it looks to be caved inward, which is leaning me toward a vandalized coin (maybe with a punch of sorts/hammer?). However, the coin still maintains it's round shape, if hit with a hammer it would surely widen that area, right? I have never seen anything like this. I just want others opinions of what may have happened here, so as I continue with CRH and collecting I will have an idea of what to look for. Thanks!
